About College Indira Gandhi Govt. Polytechnic College, Chhindwara, is a leading polytechnic institute of Madhya Pradesh State. It was established in 12 September 1998 to offer 3-year diploma courses. This college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV). It was womens college initially . Later it was converted in to special co-ed college. special in the sense that in admission the preference is given to the girls but if seats are vacant against intake then admission can be given to boys. Computer Science & Engineering , Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Modern Office Management these three branches are running in the college. College has a Beautiful building situated in a land area of 10 acre with very attractive & clean environment. Its strength lies in strong infrastructure, skilled and dedicated faculty and staff. situated in the center of the city. This college is equipped with two Girls Hostels (one for SC/ST and second for General) and Quarters with all facilities for staffs.The college is leading with the motive of continuous development in the field of technical education.
